South County Writers is a community group designed to encourage the practice of creative writing. The only requirement to participate in the group, either at meetings or through this website, is a creative turn of mind.

Kristen and Shannon are local educators, writers, and community enthusiasts.

Kristen loves: Walt Whitman, the Bronte Sisters, Ray Bradbury, Tom Robbins, Joyce Carol Oates, Arthur Miller, Jane Austen, RA Salvatore, MBS, soccer mom Saturdays, and Emerson.

Shannon loves: Rebecca Solnit, Anne Lamott, Cole Arthur Riley, Jane Austen, Sue Miller, Mary Oliver, Stephen King, Middlebridge School, the Narragansett Historical Society, and words that begin with the letter ‘J’.
